Nov 5-11

Math: This week Simon had a lot of questions about algebra and how to use letters in math. Daisy, Simon , and Sarajoy did Teaching Textbooks and Sullivan used his Grade 1 workbook.

Language Arts: Daisy caught up on her Speech and Debate homework after spending a week at her cousins farm. They inspired her to read more too. Simon, Sarajoy, and Sulli keep plugging along with Daily reading and journal writing. They like writing to their brother in Mexico. I started reading Little House in the Big Woods to Sarajoy and Indian in the cupboard to the boys.

Science: We read about turtles and owls in our Zoobooks magazine. We got our first snowfall so we talked about weather and played in the snow.

History: We explored  our history magazine for the first time. We love reading our American themed literature about Natives and settlers.

Music: Everyone is working hard on their Suzuki songs. we play Amazing Grace and Beauty and the beast as a group. We sing together every week, and each of the kids practiced piano daily. Daisy has especially been inspired by her cousins to practice more.

Technology: Sarajoy did a power point presentation on New York for our Geography group. She loves playing with her goldiblocks. Simon is always asking and figuring things out on the computer. He has been especially interested in music playlists lately. He lives playing games online with his cousin in Idaho. Daisy keeps working on photography skills and Sullivan loves all the building sets. This week he did a hangouts chat online with Mom as well.
