Math: Sullivan is really curios about math facts, and is constantly asking me about numbers. He also finished his workbook. The other kids are doing lessons in Teaching Textbooks online.
Language Arts: Each child has a book they read each day. They check in with Dad in the evening and tell him about what they read for a treat. Daisy just started a writing class with other homeschoolers. She is also doing great in Speech and Debate. Each child has a daily assignment in their language workbook and journal.
Science: Daisy did science experiments with the kids this week, including "walking water". We got some books and movies about sharks at the library. The kids love everything they are learning about marine life watching Octonauts.
History: The kids learned about the lives of artisists we are studying: Bev Doolittle, John Williams, and Edgar Allen Poe. We continued our read aloud of Indian Captive. We did another Geography party with our friends and learned all about Ohio.
Music: Daisy started a new song on the Piano and continues studying River Flows in You and working on her violin. The other kids practice a new song and a review song on their violins daily as well as play something on the piano. They were excited to learn more about John Williams and all of the movie scores he has composed. And they told me his son is in the band Toto.
Technology: Osmo is still a hit with the kids, especially coding jam and the art game. Daisy took some great sunset pictures and did a photo scavenger hunt assignment. The kids use google hangouts and play lots of online learning games.
