Math: Simon, Daisy, and Sarajoy do Teaching Textbooks. Sullivan does his math workbook. Sarajoy has been working extra hard on math facts.
Language Arts: The kids do daily journaling and language workbook activities. Daisy finished her 14th book in the past 2 months! Sullivan is taking a break from Magic Tree House cause he loves Zoobooks so much. Sarajoy and Sulli played with Boggle Jr.
Science: We spent hours outside looking at the moon during the lunar eclipse. We got some amazing photos through our telescope of the blood moon. The kids have been watching Blue Planet. We know so much about sea life!
History: I read aloud more of Indian Captive to the kids. We love how the author is honest in her portrayal of the prejudice the whites had towards the natives while also letting us see the wholeness in the Native way of life. We did our American Geography party this week with Kentucky Fried Chicken, Benedictines, and Kentucky Bourbon Balls.
Music: Sarajoy has worked so hard on Minuet 2! She will be finished with book 1 soon! Sullivan plays May song for everyone who will listen. We talked about the difference between violin and fiddle and decided more fiddle songs might keep things fun.
Technology: Figuring out how to capture photos through the telescope was really tricky! Daisy and her dad figured it out! Simon learned how to create his own folder on our computer to put his creations in. He did a power point presentation on Kentucky this week. The kids are having so much fun making drawings and music with Osmo.
