March 4

Math: We are taking a break from screens this week. The kids have been doing hands-on math and workbooks instead.

Language Arts: Each child does daily reading and writing. Daisy is learning about extemporaneous speeches in Speech and Debate.

Science: The ripstick in our kitchen has brought lots of fun lessons about physics, friction, and balance. Daisy has even mastered it sitting down with other kids on for a ride.

History: We keep plugging along with Indian Captive. It is fun to learn about the Seneca traditions. We talked about having your mind split about something as Molly becomes more accustomed to her new life, but does not want to forget her original family.

Music: Daisy is getting really good at her violin pieces. Each child does a violin and piano song each day.

Technology: Simon spent an entire day mastering the rubik’s cube! He is so excited! The other kids have been making things with blocks. Daisy keeps taking great photos!
